Orusati ref sheet (UPDATED)

EDIT: I decided to spruce up her design a tiny bit. Not so far as to go overboard since more features manifest as she ages. But I find myself more content with her colour palette now and... Yay for glyphs? (Yeah, the glyph will become more detailed as she ages too lol )

This one didn't take nearly as long to draw, uncannily enough, but that doesn't surprise me; of any dragon-related species out there, lung dragons are my absolute number one favourite.


Down to the additional details, Orusati is classified under the Dreamtender family. However, this is a red Dreamtender, a status earned from an exaltation rite where the reigning monarch appraises, then sequentially deems them worthy of the imperative responsibilities of filtering and guiding the dreams, much like strands of thread to a quilt, to retain balance and fluidity in the cycle and trafficking of dreams. Consequently, these Dreamtenders (In the case of dragons) lose their wings in the process. Where Kali is young by comparison (maugre her age is not something to be underestimated either), this is an aged Dreamtender nearing the end of its cycle, and significantly larger. Given their colossal life expectancy, Orusati is a dragoness approximately three quarters through her lifespan and still ongoing, but is only in the prime of her years as a lung-like dragon and therefore relatively short. The final quarter hurdle of her life will entail her growing exponentially in length until her final millennium, where she'll have reached the apex of her length, and then eventually pass on. In addition, the older they become, the more beautiful they grow, being at the pinnacle of their beauty at the end of their life cycle.

Not really sure what additional information to throw out there, this character's relatively new and the info might change depending on how I'm feeling about the lore. I'm kind of a fence sitter with it right now truth be told. xD I guess other than that, there's various elements in the design from which I drew inspiration heavily. To a select two or three of you whom I'm looking at, you may have already spotted them. xD
